One of Troop 242’s most recent campouts was caving. For one day they traversed the natural wonderful trails of the underground cave systems! All the scouts and scouters had an awesome outing and created memories for a lifetime.

Troop 242 took part in the 1st Annual community yard sale hosted by Langley, AFB. The event was held at Bethel Family Park in Hampton. It was a great time and the weather was perfect. The scouts sold new & gently used gear to help support the troop.

Another eagle has taken flight. Brody is our newest Eagle Scout for Troop 242! Brody is an energetic and enthusiastic Scout, and has been part of 242 since Cub Scouts. The Eagle Board of Review informed Mr. Grieme, they were “thoroughly impressed” with Brody. Great job, Brody!

It’s great when the Troop welcomes new scouts who are crossing over from Cubscouts to Boyscouts. Troop 242 added four new Scouts ( 3 boys & 1 girl ) from various packs. Because of scouts “aging out” at18 years old, the new scouts are a huge welcome to help the continued growth of the troop.

Congratulations to our newest Eagle Scout, Evan! Evan has been a huge part of Troop 242 for the past several years. During his Board of Review, the board informed our Scoutmaster, Wayne Grieme that Evan embodied what a scout is. Awesome job to Evan and kudos to his family!
