The week before Christmas was not a regular meeting. However, those that could, gathered for a service project (followed by snacks). Our troop had the help of the AOLs, and their siblings, from Pack 48 packing backpacks for the annual Downtown Christmas Party at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. All 115 backpacks were handed out! That means 115 Newport News school aged children started off 2019 with a new backpack and fresh school supplies.
